Recruiting Services for Accounting, Finance & Admin Professionals

The tall lady was so rude to me. Asked me to call 3 times a week to check in. Always wanted to know if I had other interviews is why I was not available. A bully. Waste your time, if they can't use you, good bye. At your own risk...I warned you.

I applied for what I thought was a marketing position through Monster, unaware that it was through a recruitment agency (ABC was NOT listed on the posting). After a day or so, I recieved a call from one of the recruiters saying my qualificaitons were outstanding and that they wanted to see me. I was hesitant knowing a third party would be involved in my application process, but I decided to give it a shot. When I arrived to what I thought would be my interview for the position I applied, I was bombarded with paperwork and ridiculous questions, all "routine" apparently. After all was said and done, I inquired about the job I applied for. "Well, the company isn't really moving with that position as of yet" was the response I got. Excuse me?? Then why am I even here?! After going for 2 other positions that ended up being nothing more than a figment of someone's imagination, I told them I no longer required nor wanted their services. Bottom line: their job descriptions are false, they screw with your salary offers, nothing is ever permanent, and all they do is give you the run-around w/ jobs that are more than insulting, period. It's a waste of valuable time and effort, so, PLEASE, HEAD MY WARNING...go about your search yourself. This place will do absolutely nothing for you, as the other reviews have said. Hold tight to your self-worth and believe it in.

Went down to the American Business Center to look for a possible perm job. They were fantastic during the initial interview, filled out the paperwork, and we were both impressed, until a week later. Received a call saying I would have an interview, and to call back within 2 days........well Ive called about 6 times leaving messages. I don't understand why they get paychecks, when they dont want to be bothered. If I was to advise anyone regarding agencies, just go somewhere else. They have quite a few postings for employment, but I dont understand who actually gets the jobs.

I signed a contract to work as a temp for American business Center's client for three months Temp to perm position. Unfortunately, The client decided to terminate the contract before the end of the three months, due to the fact that they didn't believe I "was a good fit". There was no misconduct involved and I NEVER voluntarily resigned. Also, The client company was "kind" enough to terminate my contract directly after the holiday season! In which, I had had four days off without Any holiday pay. I immediately called American Business Center asking for a new assignment. Each time I called the recruiter would supply me with a vague job description and a general location. They always told me they would submit my information, yet days would go by to no avail. I decided to apply for unemployment since I was laid off for weeks and the temp agency failed to find me a new assignment. On the unemployment form the Bookkeeper claimed that I "Voluntarily Quit" and I "did not return for further employment". The temp agency will fight unemployment and lie about your termination. The temp business is all about cheap, disposable labor. Don't let these greed mongers take advantage of you! Fight for your rights.

I applied for a job posting of theirs. A recruiter called me to schedule a meeting. I got their went through all of the procedures. She then tells me that when an opportunity arises she will make sure to call me. I had already applied for one of their positions. What about that one? It was frustrating, but I went along with the program. She told me to call her is 2 days. I did, but their were no opportunities. She told me to call back again in 2 days. I did still no openings. I call and I call. At this point, she seems to be a bit annoyed with me because I am calling her when she wants and even more than that. It has been 2 months since I heard from her last and their are jobs they have posted on Monster that I am more than qualified for and still no call. I agree with the other reviews. It is a waste of time and parking money.
